Mumbai: Law students get blank page in question paper

Final year law students, who were appearing for their annual examination at Siddharth College of Law at Fort, were in for a rude shock when they realised that an entire page of some of the question papers was blank.

Fifteen minutes into the paper, students pointed this out. The authorities then took 15 minutes to replace the papers but did not give them any extra time to finish.

“Some students pointed at how half the class had a three-page question paper while many had only two printed pages,” said one of the students, who appeared for the Interpretation of Statutes exam. Almost 30 minutes into the exam, students finally got the missing third page.

After all the students got the question papers, many demanded extra time, which was denied. “We even took up this matter with the institute’s principal, who said there was no error and therefore we could not get extra time,” said another student.

When mid-day contacted U N Mhaske, examination in-charge of Siddharth College of Law, he initially refused to comment on the issue and later switched off his phone.
