The police have made a breakthrough in the molestation case involving two five-year-old girls and have arrested the clerk of a Kandivali based school. The clerk had been working at the school since 1998.

The accused, Santosh Breet (39) is a resident of Poisar. The police became increasingly suspicious of him during the initial round of questioning and kept him on for a second round. Breet confessed to his crimes at the end of his questioning session and was promptly taken into custody. Police have said that one of the five-year-old girls has identified him as well.

Breet was produced in the Dindoshi Civil and Sessions Court and has been remanded to police custody till Monday. The accused was arrested under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 (aggravated non- penetrative sexual assault) and 8 (abetment of offence) of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Santosh has been accused of molesting two five-year-old girls who study in the Upper KG section of the school he is a clerk at. He allegedly molested them inside the school washroom and threatened them not to say anything to anyone. The five-year-old whose parents have registered the case against him was abused after she saw the accused inappropriately touching another girl in the washroom.
