Tansa lake overflowing
mid-day had reported yesterday how Vihar and Modak Sagar lakes had overflowed on Monday. Tulsi had overflowed before. Around 2.10 am on Tuesday, Tansa also started overflowing. This is the fourth lake to overflow so far. Upper Vaitarna is 3 m, Bhatsa is 5 m, while Middle Vaitarna is 6.5 m away from overflowing.
“It is a good day for us. We are now looking forward to the big three to start brimming over. A good, sustained rainfall in the catchment areas will result in all seven lakes reaching their maximum levels soon,” said Ashok Tawadiya, chief engineer, hydraulics.
