A 27-year-old woman on Tuesday approached the Versova police and registered a case of assault and molestation against Mika.

According to the complaint, the woman claimed she was in a relationship with Mika since the past two years. She claimed Mika had been promising to give her a break in an upcoming movie. However when he failed to fulfill his promise, she went to his house in Versova on Tuesday and confronted him. She alleged that Mika assaulted and threw her out of his house. The woman then approached the police.
“We have registered a case under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to outrage woman’s modesty) of the Indian Penal Code,” said an officer from Versova police station.
Mika Singh released a statement claiming that the had girl barged into his premises and blackmailed him, after which he wrote to Versova police. “Today morning at around 5 am one girl barged into my premises by entering through the window, and started abusing me and assaulting me, and my staff, and started threatening if I don’t pay her Rs 5 crore she will ruin my career, and register a false case against me. I have already informed Versova police in writing regarding the threats and extortion. I don’t know who this girl is. I have all the evidence against this girl of her demanding money from me and I have informed the police about this incident. Police is investigating the matter and truth will be out soon.”
