The incident occurred at around 8:50 am due to a speeding car cutting lanes to overtake a trailer.
A Shivneri bus was caught in the middle by buses from both ends and the passengers could not even disembark since the door was jammed. Later, rescuers broke open the glass structure to let people out.
The police and 2 ambulances arrived at the spot in 10 minutes and treated the injured.
Traffic though wasn’t badly affected on the expressway.
