Mid Day photographer Shadab Khan has won the second prize in the Spot News category of the Media Foundation of India's National Photo Contest 2011.
Mid Day photographer Shadab Khan has won the second prize in the Spot News category of the Media Foundation of India's National Photo Contest 2011. Khan's photo of an abandoned 3 month-old foetus at Mahim Church junction at 1.30 am on April 13, 2010 was selected by the non-profit trust for the award last month.

The foetus, which was spotted by two children who saw it being thrown out of a speeding car at Mahim, had its legs broken after it was hurled out. Mid Day reporter Kranti Vibhute had reported the incident when it occurred.
