Mumbai schools have passed the CBSE Std XII exams — whose results were declared yesterday — with flying colours. They recorded a 100% pass percentage despite concerns over the “difficult and lengthy” mathematics paper.

While the paper had kicked up a row — with parents even starting an online petition demanding lenient evaluation — on Saturday, everything was forgiven and forgotten in the relief of acing the exams.
While some schools admitted that their mathematics scores had dropped, many others prided themselves on have cent percent scorers in the subject.
The overall pass percentage increased from 82 last year to 83.50.
Thiruvanathapuram region racked up the highest overall pass percentage — 97.61 — followed by Chennai region (92.63%), which includes Maharashtra. The state has recorded an overall pass percentage of 93.47%.
