Bard and Marathi folk legend Krishnarao Sable, popularly known as Shahir Sable was laid to rest at Shivaji Park, Dadar. He was 93.

Sable is credited to have brought Maharashtra's folk singing and theatre traditions to the centre stage. He breathed his last yesterday after a brief illness.

Close family members, which included his wife Radhabai, Marathi film personalities, Sunil Barve, Adesh Bandekar and Ramesh Bhatkar were present to pay their last respects.
