The judicial committee will be declared soon.
Sources said the judicial committee will verify facts, seek witnesses, study audit reports and fix responsibility on the officials concerned.
“Some officials are expected to be suspended soon,” said a senior Mantralaya official.

The CM also appointed a team of IIT-B experts to study the reasons behind the bridge’s collapse.
The team — comprising Prof Jyoti Prakash (water expert), Jangid (structural expert) and VS Vasudevan (geothermal expert) — has already begun its work, said Fadnavis yesterday, while replying to a question at a discussion on the issue in the assembly.
Considering the poor condition of the Mumbai-Goa highway, Fadnavis directed the National Highways Authority of India to repair the entire stretch by August 25 so that commuters travelling to Konkan for Ganesh Chaturthi can have a smooth ride.
