The country is headed for its "biggest" mass wedding next month and the prospective grooms and brides from all faiths seem to be in no mood to delay the D-day any further.

So far 2,100 couples, including organiser-cum-Badnera MLA Ravi Rana and his south Indian film actress fianc ufffde, have registered their names for the mass marriage at Amravati on February 2.
A sprawling stage, spread over 1 lakh sq-ft, is being prepared on a 4lakh sqft ground for the D-day.
Gurus' blessings
Saints, maulavis and fathers have already been booked for the date to solemnise the weddings. And spiritual gurus including Baba Ramdev and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be present to bless the newly-weds.
According to sources, officials of the Limca Book of Records and Guinness World Records will be present on the occasion to witness the event. The present record is of 1,350 couples tying knots in a day.
"I have planned the mass wedding thinking about those who cannot manage their marriages on their own. Also, it is a different concept altogether and a great service to the needy," said Rana.
"The event will help strengthen our social fabric as people from different faiths will come on a single platform
shedding their inhibition. We have also got request from special people."
Around 350 blind and 470 physically handicapped couples have registered their names for the mass marriage.
