Name of his next film happens to be a phrase from Jhankaar Beats
Sujoy Ghosh and Ken Ghosh don't only have a surname in common, they have a phrase too. The title of Ken's Shahid Kapoor-starrer Chance Pe Dance comes from Sujoy's film Jhankaar Beats.
While titles of songs like Aa Gale Lag Jaa and Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na have been converted into film titles, this is the first known occasion when a catch-phrase from a film has been lifted.
Furious
Jhankaar Beats' producer Pritish Nandy is livid. "This is a copyright violation! But how do we fight it? People need to possess some kind of ethics and a sense of responsibility.
As far as we PNC (Pritish Nandy Communications) are concerned, we can think of a hundred better titles."

In fact, that's just one phrase. But Abhishek Kapoor's Rock Onu2026!!! was in mood, theme and even individual scenes quite like Jhankaar Beats.
And I loved it! I'd look at the title Chance Pe Dance as a homage to Jhankaar Beats."
Common phrase
Ken was guarded in his response. "Yes, I am aware Chance Pe Dance was used in Jhankaar Beats. I've also heard friends using the phrase Mauka Pe Chauka."
Hunt for a Name
The search for a title for Ken Ghosh's latest flick has been a long one. Other titles rumoured to have been in contention were Star and Yahoo.
Ghosh had earlier said that it took them to time to finalise Chance Pe Dance, as another producer had already registered the title. Negotiations had to be completed before they could make the title public.
