The annual Kala Ghoda festival kicked off on Saturday amid complaints that the organisers had violated permissible noise levels.
According to Berges Malu, a local resident and activist, noise levels shot up on Saturday evening to 83.6 decibels at its highest.
Malu said, “We will be taking legal action.” Manek Davar, one of the organisers said, “This is not a contempt as the court has clearly ordered on not having any loudspeakers, which we are abiding by.”
