There's inspiring tales all around us. Here's one such tale from the streets of Mumbai that will surely galvanise you and reaffirm your faith in mankind.

At a time when our social media newsfeeds and timelines are flooded with negative stories and the war-like situation between India and Pakistan, a 'Humans of Bombay' Facebook post brings to the fore the sacrifices that parents make to ensure their children get a better life than them.

An unnamed cabbie, who plies his trade in Mumbai, is featured by Humans of Bombay on their Facebook page. He is talking about the struggles he goes through to ensure that his daughter gets a decent education.

The driver, who has a 'kaali-peeli', reveals that there had come a time in his life when he had almost asked his daughter to drop out of her private school and join a public one. "There came a time when the school fees for my 14 year old daughter were too much to pay because we weren't able to afford basic things like food," he is quoted as saying.

But, he resisted the urge and ultimately, "...borrowed money, ate a little less but paid the fees on time."

His reason for what he did is very simple. He says that he's unable to provide for his family after having dropped out of school in he 8th standard and he didn't want his daughter to ever be this way.

And like any proud father, he is happy that he's raised his daughter well and confident that she will one day make him proud.

At the time of writing this article, over 11,000 people had reacted to it and it had been shared over 430 times with several people offering to financially help the guy.
