The Mumbai ATS approached UP ATS on Monday after finally locating Vivek Aggarwal through sustained investigations with a non-bailable warrant for making a fake certificate for Naved Hussain, one of the accused in the case.
Mumbai ATS and UP ATS jointly arrested Aggarwal.
According to the ATS, Hussain was working at a call centre in Hyderabad and was in touch with Lashkar's Mumbai head, Faizal Sheikh.
Investigations have revealed that Hussain managed to get fake certificates and documents, including a degree to get the job. He was arrested on September 30, 2006.
Confirming the arrest, UP ATS chief Rajiv Sabharwal said, Aggarwal is a known fraudster and has been arrested earlier for similar activities."
