Dutch national caught with drugs worth Rs 1 crore in Mumbai

The Kandivli police have arrested a Dutch national of Indian origin and seized drugs worth more than Rs 1 crore.


The accused has been identified as Kissor Nandan. The Kandivli police caught Nandan from near the railway station at Kandivli West on Monday night following a tip-off and have seized a large amount of Ecstacy tablets and L.S.D. Dots worth Rs 1.12 crore.


Police sources said Nandan is a Dutch national of Indian origin.

He is a drug dealer and had earlier been caught by the Thane NCB in 2011. After spending four years in jail, he was released on bail 15 months ago, and had been living on rent at Ghodbunder Road Thane ever since. He picked up where he left off.

During questioning, he told the police he had brought these drugs from Goa and Manali. Senior inspector Mukund Pawar said, “We got a tip-off and set up a trap. We sent our man as a customer. The accused came in a Scorpio jeep last night around 1 am near the Kandivli railway tracks. While the deal was going on an official nabbed him and during a search of the jeep found a bag with the drugs. We have registered Special LAC case under NDPS act 8(c), 21 and 22 arrested the accused.”
