With light drizzles gracing the city yesterday, citizens found fresh hope for some respite from the scorching summer heat.

With light drizzles gracing the city yesterday, citizens found fresh hope for some respite from the scorching summer heat. The cloud cover overshadowed the sun's rays, and brought down the mercury by several notches, sending a collective sigh of u00a0relief through Mumbaikars, u00a0who came out into the city promenades to enjoy the overcast skies.

V K Rajeev, director of the IMD, Western Region, said, "It rained slightly in Mumbai due to local phenomena. There is a possibility of more rain in the next few days. But this is only a temporary phenomenon. Heavy showers will only be experienced after June 10 this year. There are chances that humidity levels will increase if it doesn't rain again in the next 48 hours."

Minimum: 26 C (Santacruz) 27 C (Colaba)


Weather Forecast
Skies will be partly cloudy. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33 C and 27 C respectively.
