The domestic help, who had allegedly fled with Rs 95 lakh from his employer's house in suburban Chembur, has been arrested, police said here on Wednesday.

The domestic help, who had allegedly fled with Rs 95 lakh from his employer's house in suburban Chembur, has been arrested, police said here on Wednesday.


"We have arrested Sachin Bidiye and his interrogation is on," Senior Inspector (Chembur police station), Bala Pachundkar, said.

Bidiye had allegedly fled with a briefcase containing Rs 95 lakh from Ravi Kamat's house yesterday.


According to the police, Ravi Kamat, a builder, had brought a briefcase containing Rs 95 lakh and kept it in the cupboard two-to-three days ago. While Kamat's family stays in Pune, he stays here alone at his residence at Sai Siddhi building.


Bidiye, who was working with Kamat for the last nine years, also stayed in the same house.
