Yesterday afternoon, the Ansari family was about to leave the house to attend a birthday party at their relative's place, when they saw a Scorpio crashing past their door and whirling into their hut at Worli Village.

"About 12.30 pm, we were about to lock the door and leave, when I saw a car ramming into the house. We didn't know what to do other than saving our two children but by then the car had hit my husband who fell unconscious," said Minaz Ansari. Her husband Usman and one-year-old daughter Arshin were injured in this accident and rushed to the KEM hospital.u00a0 "My husband cannot walk properly and doctors have asked for CT-scan for my daughter."
Vanita Sonkar neighbour of Ansari said, "The car destroyed more than four houses in a row. The driver couldn't even stop the car when it hit the first house." Meanwhile, the driver Nitin Tare, who was on a learning licence, has been arrested. His father said, "He was headed towards Worli for some work, when he saw a bus coming closer to the car from the right side. He got anxious and in order to avoid a collision, he swirled the vehicle the other way round and hit the houses."
