CR services hit after wagons of container train derail

Services on Central Railways between Bhivpuri and Karjat were affected on Tuesday morning due to the derailment of three wagons of a container train near Karjat, officials said.

Services on Central Railways between Bhivpuri and Karjat were affected on Tuesday morning due to the derailment of three wagons of a container train near Karjat, officials said.

The wagons of the train, which was on its way to Panvel, derailed near Karjat at approximately 1030 hours and no persons were injured, they said.

Local train services between Bhivpuri and Karjat were affected as the overhead electric wire was also affected by the derailment and speed of outstation train services were also regulated as a result, officials said.
