BEST driver in police custody, but denies involvement in accident
Divya Nandrajog (19), resident of Sindhi colony in Chembur, was injured last morning when a BEST bus rammed into her Activa from behind, while she was waiting at the Suman Nagar junction for the signal to change.
Bystanders reported the incident to the traffic police, who brought her to the station and intimated her family.

A case was filed at the Chembur Police station against the bus driver.
Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Borade did not name the driver, saying, "Details are yet to come in. The girl is still in hospital. The driver is in our custody, but has denied involvement in the accident."
The Suman Nagar traffic police have retained Divya's Activa. Divya, who fell on her face, was taken to Sion hospital by her parents. She has lost a tooth and sustained minor injuries on her face.
Sangeeta, Divya's mother, said, "I will ensure that the driver is put behind bars. It was not my daughter's fault."
