Bright sunny day welcome Mumbaikars

The city on Wednesday witnessed a bright sunny day after last weeks' continuous downpour. In the last 24 hours, Colaba recorded 1.5 mm rainfall and Santacruz 1.9 mm, Met officials said, adding since June 1, Colaba received 1036.4 mm rainfall while Santacruz got 1355.8 mm rainfall.

The city on Wednesday witnessed a bright sunny day after last weeks' continuous downpour. In the last 24 hours, Colaba recorded 1.5 mm rainfall and Santacruz 1.9 mm, Met officials said, adding since June 1, Colaba received 1036.4 mm rainfall while Santacruz got 1355.8 mm rainfall.


The Met department has forecast spells of rain or thundershowers in parts of city and suburbs in the next 48 hours.


Road, rail and air traffic remained largely unaffected and there were no reports of water logging, officials said. Meanwhile, an incident of wall collapse was reported from Khardev Nagar at suburban Chembur and a boy was injured, civic officials said.
