Body of a woman, who had gone missing, was found stuffed in a gunny bag on Tuesday in Mulund.

The body of a 30-year-old widow, who had gone missing from Ghatkopar area Monday, was Tuesday found in a gunny bag in suburban Mulund.


She had been stabbed and stuffed into the sack before being abandoned, the police said.

According to Mulund police, the deceased has been identified as Pratiksha Bhojane, a mother of three, who used to work as a housemaid.
She used to stay with her children in Bhatwadi, Ghatkopar.

Police said the body was found by some sweepers, who were cleaning the road. They opened the sack to see what was inside and were shocked to see the body.

Officers from the Ghatkopar police station, where a missing person's complaint was registered, reached the Rajawadi hospital to identify the body that had been taken there for post-mortem. The body was identified by the victim's sister.u00a0
