Wife plots murder of Sena leader
A woman enlisted the help of a local shopkeeper and his accomplices to kidnap and murder her husband, a Shiv Sena leader. She was afraid that her husband would leave her and their children for his mistress. On the night of the murder, when the victim fell asleep in the night, his wife switched off the lights at home as a signal for the hitmen. The attackers crept into the house and strangled the Sena man in his sleep and then dumped his body and car away in a forest. Five days later, the partially burnt body of the man was found in Shahpur in Thane and the victim was identified with the help of the car's licence plate. When the cops went to the victim's house to inquire about his whereabouts, his wife said he had been missing the entire night. Cops wondered why she hadn't reported him missing. They also found her sleeping children locked in a room. When they took her to see the body, she identified it as her husband even before taking a proper look. The cops got suspicious about the wife's involvement and the final clincher was the Call Detail Records (CDR). The victim's phone revealed his affair and the wife's motive, while her phone records led the cops to the shopkeeper and on further interrogation, the wife confessed to her crime
A businessman who wanted to marry another woman killed his 25-year-old wife and his eight-month-old son by paying his girlfriend to plan the murder and kill his family. After the murders, the husband rushed to police claiming a dacoit had killed them and robbed cash and jewellery worth of Rs 3.50 lakh. The accused had been married to the victim for two years, and at the time of the incident, the woman and her son were at her maternal home. The two met at a resort in Aksa and later the woman's naked body was discovered in a pool of blood and the man was missing. As per sources, the accused had received videos of the victim engaging in sexual acts with other people, something that bothered him. The accused said, on the day of the incident the two had sexual intercourse and he went onto the bathroom to wash up. When he returned the victim pulled out a knife from her bag and tried to attack the accused because she had realised that he knew about her affairs and did not want him to tell her husband. The victim was a resident of Bhatinda, Punjab and the accused had developed a relationship with her as he used to frequently visit dance bars in Mumbai.
