The NIA is currently interrogating those who are close to Sharma, as it suspects that more people are involved in the case. According to information received from a source, Sharma, who is a former police officer is fully aware of investigation proceedings, and is hence, responding to NIA’s questions in a clever manner. The NIA officers, however, have said that they have solid evidence
against him.

The investigating body is also contemplating bringing Sharma and suspended API Sachin Waze face to face, for an interrogation. Waze is currently in judicial custody.

An NIA source said that there was a meeting where the conspiracy was hatched. “Sharma was also present at that meeting, due to which he was under suspicion. He was arrested as soon as the NIA got the evidence,” the source said.
