The Bhandup police have apprehended an accused for allegedly attempting to stab a woman with a blade.

The incident took place at 11.00 pm on October 15, the accused attempted to stab the woman in her neck.

According to the police, the alleged accused and the 21-year-old victim have known each other since 2019 and had a relationship. However, the girl showed disinterest in the boy.
He had allegedly threatened the victim that he would post her videos online if she didn't continue the relationship.
On October 15, both decided to meet for the last time. They allegedly booked a room at a hotel in Andheri and the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her. Later, they both rented an autorickshaw and on their way back to Bhandup the accused tried to stab the girl in her neck near Gandhinagar Chowk.
The girl was admitted to Rajawadi Hospital and she was discharged on October 15.
The police identified the accused and the victim lived in the nearby area. The Bhandup police have arrested the accused.
The 28-year-old man was booked under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 376 (rape), 363 (kidnapping), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 (criminal intimidation).
