On Tuesday night, Ruby’s younger sister, who lives nearby, visited her house and saw her lying on the bed in an unconscious state. Blood was oozing from her nose and mouth. She informed her brother, who rushed to the spot along with his wife. They spotted Ajay sitting on a chair in another room and asked him what had happened. On getting no response from him, they sensed that he might have killed Ruby.
Her brother told the police that he had seen Ajay search the Internet for information on ways to kill a person. Meanwhile, a neighbour informed the local police. The police said that during interrogation Ajay confessed to the crime.
“Under the supervision of senior PI Varade and ASI Indranil Patil, we conducted the probe and arrested the accused. A case has been registered against him under section 302 of IPC,” a cop said.
