A 19-year-old has been held for blackmailing his elder brother’s girlfriend and demanding sexual favours from her. Police said the accused’s brother died recently of a heart attack. After his death, the accused found personal videos of his brother and his girlfriend on his mobile phone.

According to Meghwadi police, the 25-year-old woman and the deceased man were in a relationship and intended to marry. However, the man died of a heart attack during the lockdown.

A police source said, “The 19-year-old started using his elder brother’s mobile phone and found personal messages, videos, and photos of his brother and his girlfriend. The accused approached the woman and demanded sexual favours from her. He threatened to make their explicit videos viral on social media.”

The woman approached Meghwadi police and registered a case of molestation against the 19-year-old. “We arrested the man and seized the mobile phone from him on January 25. He has been remanded in judicial custody,” the source added.
