The Malad police have booked a doctor for allegedly molesting his colleague, also a doctor, in the hospital’s office on Sunday.

According to police sources, the accused and victim work at a Malad-based hospital, situated on link road in Malad West.

The incident happened on Sunday evening when the woman was alone in one of the hospital cabins completing some work. When the accused doctor came, he allegedly found her alone and hugged her and physically abused her. The woman, who was very scared, somehow freed herself and ran out of the cabin.

According to police sources, she was unable to figure out what to do and hence mentioned the incident to some of her colleagues. On their suggestion, she later went to the Malad police station and lodged a complaint, said a police officer

"On the complaint of the woman doctor, we have registered the case under section 354 (whoever assaults or uses criminal force to any woman, intending to outrage or knowing it to be likely that he will thereby outrage her modesty,) We have booked the accused doctor, and since he is at large, officers are currently looking for him," said another officer.
