In two separate incidents, the Kurar police on Saturday held a 13-year-old boy for allegedly raping his 16-year-old sister and a 50-year-old man for allegedly molesting his 10-year-old daughter. Both cases were reported in Malad east area in Mumbai.

In the first incident, police said that the relationship between the 16-year-old girl and her 13-year-old brother was revealed when the victim complained of stomach pain. When her parents took her to the hospital, they learned that she was five months pregnant. The Kurar police reached the hospital after the hospital staff alerted them.
During the interrogation, the victim revealed her younger brother’s name. When the police questioned the victim’s brother, he said that his sister used to forcibly have a physical relationship with him by showing him porn videos on her mobile phone. He told the police that their parents used to sleep on the bed, while both the siblings slept under the bed. After everyone fell asleep, his sister used to show him porn videos on her mobile phone, and she used to ask him to have a physical relationship with her, the minor told the police.

He also said that whenever he refused to have a relationship with his sister, she used to forcibly have a relationship with him by threatening to beat him. This went on for about a year.
At present, the accused boy has been sent to the Children's Welfare Council and the victim is admitted to the hospital. A DNA test of the family will be done. “Investigation is underway,” said senior police inspector Parkash Bele from Kurar police station.
In the second incident, the Kurar police arrested a 50-year-old man on Sunday for allegedly molesting his 10-year-old daughter by showing porn videos.
According to the police, it was happening for the past couple of months. A case was registered after the minor revealed this to her mother recently. Based on the victim’s mother’s complaint, the police registered a case under Section 354 of IPC and various sections of the POCSO Act.
The victim was residing with her parents and her 21-year-old sister. According to reports, the relationship between the accused and his wife was not well and he usually asked his wife to leave the house.
