The vigilance team of the Narcotics Control Bureau has recreated the sequence of events during the raids on Cordelia luxury ship at the international cruise terminal on the night of October 2, leading to the arrest of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and triggering a barrage of allegations against NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede including extortion. Khan reported to the agency’s SIT at Navi Mumbai on Friday.

Sources said the vigilance team, led by IPS officer Gyneshwar Singh, has come across 7 more witnesses related to the raid and has recorded their statements. “We have recreated the crime scene which transpired during the raid and have recorded some fresh statements. We have also collected some digital and documentary evidence during the probe which we cannot reveal as of now as the inquiry is still on,” Singh told the press on Friday.

The senior NCB officer said he met the Mumbai police chief and has been assured of full cooperation by the city cops. The vigilance team also moved an application before a Pune court to record the statement of controversial panch witness K P Gosavi, who was accused of extortion by another witness Prabhakar Sail. The team has not yet recorded the statement of SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani and Aryan Khan.

In the backdrop of several allegations by Maharashtra Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik against Wankhede, the vigilance team is focusing more on the cruise drug case. “We are looking into all the aspects of the case and examining each and every document,” an NCB officer said.

Malik’s allegations and claims by a few witnesses had prompted the anti-drugs agency to set up a vigilance team to look into their veracity.

SIT records Aryan Khan’s fresh statement.

Khan visited the NCB office on Friday afternoon as per his bail condition set by the Bombay High Court. He later joined the probe of the agency’s special investigation team (SIT) that has taken over six cases from Wankhede following the ongoing controversy. The SIT, led by NCB Deputy Director General Sanjay Kumar Singh, is also looking into the cruise drug case
first and had summoned Khan last week but he had skipped it citing personal reasons.

Khan reported to the SIT at the CRPF office in Kharghar around 4.30 pm.

At the time of going to print, his statement was still being recorded.
