Two alleged members of Munna Bajrangi gang were today arrested in a joint operation by the Faizabad and Gorakhpur Police here, a senior police officer said.

Abhinav Singh and Dhanesh Yadav of Munna Bajrangi gang were arrested in Amaniganj locality, Faizabad SP (City) Anil Sisodia said. "They had taken contract for killing a district panchayat member, and Singh was also wanted in Dhanbad's Neeraj Singh murder case," he said.

Pistols were recovered from the duo, Sisodia said. The two men had an enmity with Zila Panchayat member, who is also a history sheeter, over a land dispute, the SP said.
