Three Class 7 students of a private school in Haryana's Rohtak town were booked Tuesday for allegedly sodomising their classmate, police said.

The school director and principal could not be contacted despite repeated attempts for their version.

Parents of the victim and their supporters blocked Jind Road for nearly one hour after school authorities refused to entertain their complaint.

The victim's parents complained to police after senior officers reached the spot to get the road blockade removed.

"We have registered a case under section 377 (unnatural offence) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and law related to protection of children's rights against three boys on the complaint of the victim's mother," Ved Singh Nain, spokesman of Rohtak police, said.

The parents of the victim alleged that they had come to the school to inform the principal about the incident but she did not listen to them properly.

"Since we are paying hefty fees to the school for better education, safety and security of our wards, it is the duty of school management to keep a close tab on every child studying in the school. But the school staff and the principal have entirely failed in this case," said one of the victim's parents.
