Vrindavan: A 15-year-old girl is in a serious condition in a hospital after she was stabbed 50 times with a scissors early on Thursday morning by an unidentified assailant, police said. The incident took place around 2 a.m. on Thursday when the girl was sleeping in her home in Dhaurera village in Addha region near Vrindavan.

Her father Prabhu Dayal told police that a boy from the neighbourhood had been stalking her for a long time. He followed her to school also and often harassed her. Five months ago, the boy had proposed marriage, he alleged. The injured girl was admitted to a private hospital where her condition continues to remain serious.
