Cracking the gruesome murder case wherein a businessman and six members of his family, including three grandchildren, were found murdered at their residence in Ghaziabad on Wednesday morning, police yesterday arrested the family's former driver who confessed to the killings in a fit of rage.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Arun Kumar said Rahul Mishra, employed as driver, was sacked after businessman Satish Chandra Goyal (62) accused him of stealing Rs 4 lakh from his house.

“The accused told police that he even waited for an hour when he found that some members of Goyal family were present on the terrace,” added Kumar.
The driver came to work on Tuesday but did not report back for duty. A police team was put on his trail and caught him late on Wednesday.
During interrogation, Mishra broke down and confessed to the crime, police said. Police are now trying to recover the Rs 1 crore that went missing from the house of the Goyals. Satish, his wife Manju (60), son Sachin (40), daughter-in-law Rekha (38), and grandchildren Megha (13), Neha (11), and Aman (7), were killed on Tuesday night.
