Man rapes 16-year-old who came to him for job

Transport company owner in Delhi raped a minor who approached him for employment.

A 16-year-old girl was raped by a transport company owner when she approached him in search of a job, police said Tuesday.

The victim, who has studied up to Class 8, was sexually assaulted by the transporter CM Kashyap Sunday evening at his office in west Delhi's Punjabi Bagh area.

"Kashyap also threatened the victim with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone. But the victim informed her family members who registered a case Monday. The victim's medical report confirmed rape," said a police officer.

Kashyap, who is in his 30s, is absconding.
