Sentenced for killing a 58-year-old man from Warje in 2009
A 35-year-old man was given life imprisonment yesterday for the the kidnap and murder of a 58-year-old man from Warje five years ago.
Additional Sessions Judge Ashokkumar Bhilare sentenced Ganesh Narayan Kindre for the kidnapping and murder of Aaba alias Nivrutti Kondiba Ingle (58) — a resident of Uttamnagar, Warje — on January 6, 2009.
Kindre had taken Rs 15 lakh from Ingle. Unable to repay the amount, he kidnapped Ingle and later murdered him at Nippani in Karnataka.
Ingle’s daughter and another witness had seen Ingle and Kindre together on the fateful day, which proved to be the turning point in the case and led to Kindre’s conviction.
