Indore: A Railway employee was today arrested for allegedly sending obscene messages and photos from his cellphone to his estranged wife after she filed a domestic violence case against him.

Lokesh Kumar, posted at Nepanagar in Burhanpur district, was placed under arrest following his wife's complaint, a police spokesman said.

The 28-year-old Railway employee and his wife were living separately after the latter filed a domestic violence case against him at Mhow tehsil of Indore district, he said.

After filing of the case, Kumar started sending obscene messages and photos on his wife's mobile phone. Despite warning, he continued with his act, prompting the woman to approach the law enforcers, the spokesman said.

Further investigation in the case is underway, he added.
