A complaint was registered by Ashish Krugar, the regional manager with Tata Capital. The arrested suspects have been identified as Sonu Sharma (23), Mohammad Juber (22) and Virendra Singh (21) all residents of Noida. By using the same modus operandi, they conned several customers from the city,” said PSI Bhushan Dayma.
He said that they did this because they wanted to earn incentives and extra bonus points by acquiring maximum customers.
“There was no mention in the insurance policy that the customers who opted for these plans would receive a zero per cent personal loan. However, the accused projected the plan in such a manner that people, who obtained the plans accepted it blindly.
On an average, 40 customers, who have taken the plan from these three had paid Rs 10,000 as investment in the plan and drew cheques in the favour of the Tata AIA and sent to ASN Pvt Ltd.
“The incident came to light after a retired employee of Tata Capital, received a call and sensed something amiss and contacted the regional office in the city.
After that a complaint was registered by the regional manager of Tata Capital against the three accused for damaging the reputation of the company and providing false information to customers and using fake names while interacting with people on call,” said Dayma.
Police have appealed to those who have got insurance plans from the accused, who posed as Manav Mittal and Dipak Mittal to come forward and contact the the Deccan Gymkhana police. “Those who have spoken to them on the phone and were promised they would get loan facility at zero per cent rate can contact a police station,” said an official.u00a0
