After experimenting with graphic eyeliners, make-up lovers are now shifting their attention further north, to their eyebrows. “Glitter eyebrows, or disco brows as they’re known on social media, make an impactful statement but are relatively easy to execute. You only need a few basic make-up tools that most people already own,” says beauty blogger Chandni Dialani. Start by brushing out your brows. The goal is to get your eyebrows as flat as possible, so you can layer eye shadow on top. Next, apply lash glue on your brow in sections so that it doesn’t dry before you add the glitter. You can create a gradient effect by using the lightest glitter colour in the inner corners of your eyebrows. Use the darkest colour at the very tips of your brows.

If necessary, go over the first coat with another layer of glitter to fill in any gaps. Instead of glue, you could use an eye paint or cream eye shadow as a base for the glitter. This is easier to apply than glue and can amplify the colour of glitter you’re using. “An easier way is to use chrome or shimmering eye shadow over a coat of eyebrow wax or soap. Use your fingers to gently dab the shadow over your brows. In addition to being simpler to apply, this also makes for safer and gentler clean-up,” Dialani advises. Dust off any fall-out and then clean up the skin around your eyebrows with concealer; applying concealer can further highlight your brows, making the look more dramatic.
