Fun, games and knowledge at second edition of 360: The Kids Wellness Festival

This weekend, if you drop in at the CCI club, you'll find children across age groups engaged in different activities. Some twisting and bending their bodies to strike yoga poses, some listening to a storyteller, a few trying out rope climbing and finger painting, while others engrossed in making organic soaps. By the side, you'll also find kids munching on superseed crackers, hoppers and healthy desserts offered by Pooja Dhingra. All of this, and more, is part of the second edition of 360: The Kids Wellness Festival.

"We've noticed how enthusiastic kids are when given the opportunity to learn and develop. We wanted to channel it through a fun platform where we are creating an awareness and curiosity for healthy food and being eco-friendly," says fest co-founder Soni Sajnani. An engaging, educative workshop to watch out for is Tanvi Savant's soil-less gardening workshop. "It's a technique where we use the mixture of various natural and organic materials like kitchen waste, dried leaves and flowers to grow plants, from vegetables to flowers as well as aesthetic plants," says the 28-year-old, who first planted fenugreek (methi) using this method. "It grew faster and the root development was much better as the medium is naturally aerated," she adds. In the session, kids will also pick up tips on watering, maintaining food garden and get to plant vegetable seeds.
