The four-year-old eatery, Two One Two Bar & Grill, has been popular with patrons for their gourmet fare. Now, there is more reason to cheer as they’ve launched a gourmet pizza delivery menu as well; this means their signature wood-fired pizzas, popular burgers, and desserts will now be delivered to your doorstep.

The Chocolate Ecuadorian Truffle Cake was our pick from the lot
Thrilled, we decided to give it a try. When we called them initially, we sensed a bit of confusion, and our call was transferred to different attendants until we met with success. We attributed this hiccup to opening hitches, as we proceeded to place our order. We chose the Quattro Formaggi Pizza (Rs 450), the 8 Oz Lamb Mince Burger (Rs 590) and the Chocolate Ecuadorian Truffle Cake (Rs 290). The delivery arrived within an hour.

The Quattro Formaggi pizza had four types of cheese including gorgonzola, goat cheese, fontal and mozzarella with spicy tomato sauce. The pizza was delicious albeit a tad salty. We were dreading a cheese overkill but it was thankfully otherwise, as the tomato sauce complemented the different cheese varieties.

The Lamb Mince Burger with spicy avocado tapenade, pepper jack cheese and gherkins was accompanied with fries. It tasted yum and the minced meat patty was juicy and oozed flavour. However, the fries had turned soggy and we felt that there should have been a generous portion of accompaniments, especially considering the price. We couldn’t even taste much of the other ingredients, including the gherkins and the tapenade.
Rounding off our rather lavish working lunch, the Chocolate Ecuadorian Truffle Cake dessert made us forget all our previous grouses. It was rich and creamy and not excessively sweet. Each bite was sumptuous. Happy with the sugar rush, it has egged us on to savour their signature Tiramisu and Red Velvet Cheese Cake pretty soon.
