A fun, happy restaurant captures the essence of healthy, flavour-packed food
A fresh cup of latte never fails to cheer us on a dull morning. And if there's a cute foamy cat peeping out, it's even better. Scribble Stories, a new eatery at Bandra Reclamation, aims to fuse the love for doodles and scribbles one would draw as a kid with fuss-free food. Think sunset paintings with birds flying in your cup, or galaxy-inspired macarons.

An all-day space, the owners want to bring in office-goers and college students with their breakfast options and egg menu, and the post-work chillers with a cocktail menu. "We wanted the menu to concentrate on fresh flavours. Even the cocktails [except for the coffee and dessert cocktails] will use fresh juices and not artificial syrups," says co-owner Aditya Wanwari, who also runs LMNOPQ Asian Bistro, Hopscotch Bar & Brasserie and Curry Tales.
Watermelon and feta salad
And this thought reflects in the menu. They also offer salads if you are counting calories. The options include the usual fare (think watermelon and feta salad). Yet, they are tasty and bursting with natural colours. Appetisers include dough balls, hummus in two ways and chicken bites. For big bites, pick from sandwiches, pasta, burgers and mains such as yellow Thai curry (Rs 450), creamy wasabi rawas (Rs 525) or cottage cheese ratatouille (Rs 400).
A fresh bakes section will see everything from gluten-free breads, almond croissants to macarons that are made in-house. The DIY milk cake with delicate hints of cinnamon can be decorated with Christmas-inspired sugar craft of your choice. Kids will love this.
