Nowruz or Navroz is the Parsi New Year, which is marked by incredible food and celebrations in all Parsi homes. For Mumbaikars, Nowruz is just another excuse to celebrate this culture and their delectable food. Special events are being organized all around, for Nowruz this year, which falls on 17th August. This year, do not miss a chance to take part in one of the following celebrations occurring all around Mumbai.


1. Jumjojee – The Parsi way
Authenticook’s event specially designed for Navroz, is held not on the 17th but on the weekend after that. Home chef Mahrukh will host this Nowruz special lunch on 21st August, Sunday, at her ancestral property in Grant Road.

2. Machchi on my mind
Another delicious popup around the Parsi New year. Perzen Patel of BawiBride, brings in the new year with a 7 course seafood lunch on 21st August Sunday, at Flavour Diaries, Khar.

3. Bawa Bhonu @Dinshaw’s Xpress Café
Dinshaw’s in Oshiwara, is celebrating a whole month themed around the Parsi new year. Their special menu featuring the bawa cuisine is running this whole month. Apart from the regular meat dishes, the menu also features enough options for vegetarians.
