The Mystery Box — does the name ring a bell? It did with us and it would with any fan of the Masterchef series on television, where the mystery box remains one of the most feared challenges. So, to unravel the mystery behind the name, headed to the newly-opened patisserie.
The Blueberry Muffins were fresh, and pampered our taste buds
Once at the aesthetically designed, predominately white space, we got to know from co-owner, Ajay Agarwal, that the show was the inspiration because the second owner, Shahzad Variava, was a participant on the second season of the show’s India edition. Mystery solved, we decided to pamper our sweet tooth.

Since the place is new, it was not fully stocked on the day we dropped by, so we settled for the delish-looking Blueberry Dome (Rs 110), a Tangy Raspberry Chocolate Square (Rs 120) and two Blueberry Muffins (Rs 65 each). We were informed that cakes could be customised as per choice. The owners also plan to introduce a snack menu of croissants, sandwiches and more, shortly.
The Blueberry Dome, shaped like a white dome with a strip of chocolate on the top, was a hit from the first bite. When we inserted our spoon in the middle, gooey chocolate and blueberry oozed out, making it delicious. The muffins, that were fresh and tasty, lifted our spirits too. But the icing on the cake was the chocolate square. Spongy from the outside and gooey inside, this can be a chocolate lover’s delight. A dash of the blueberry flavour gave it a delectable touch. On the whole, we came out satiated and can’t wait for more offerings to plan for an encore.
