With 37 successful Farmer's Markets conducted across the country, culinary expert Karen Anand and her team of eight, brings the gourmet shopping experience to Mumbai yet again, this time with a festive ambience. Having pioneered the concept in India, the market sees a large number of contributors, including amateur chefs, home bakers, wineries and a host of brands offering homegrown organic produce. From horticulture to kitchen ware and the freshest of produce, the array of exhibitors will have you browsing through their stalls endlessly.

“There is a lot of interest and excitement as far as natural food goes, and especially, with alternatives for children,” said Anand. On display will be brands like Goosebump (natural pickles), Pride of Cows (unadulterated milk), Bites of Bliss (granola bars), Chado (tea), Flying Squirrel (coffee) and Petite Bites (sauces and dips).

The market will also feature a food plating competition that requires the participants to present their creative best, along with a live music performance by city-based band Rockin Marmalade, which will play a mix of Rock and Jazz tunes as the guests sample boutique wines and nibble on home-made cheese.

Anand hopes that the experience, which offers the best of food and beverage, will be fulfilling and informative for shoppers as well as for the vendors. Whether you are a chef, a restaurateur or a foodie, this is one culinary haven that you will not want to miss out on.
