BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was born on July 22, 1970. Fadnavis, who turns a year older today, spent his younger days in Nagpur and moved to Mumbai post his appointment as the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Through his hard work and commitment to serve people, Fadnavis quickly rose through the ranks and carved a name for himself in the political world.

Devendra Fadnavis tied the knot with Amruta Fadnavis in December 2005. The couple has been married for more than 15 years now and has a daughter named Divija Fadnavis.

Touted as the power couple of Maharashtra, Devendra and Amruta Fadnavis have been a constant support for each other. Amruta has stood by her husband in his political journey, while Devendra Fadnavis hasn't shied away and has always shown equal support towards Amruta's career and ambitions.
After Fadnavis took over as the CM of Maharashtra in 2014, many expected his wife Amruta Fadnavis to take a sabbatical but Fadnavis backed his wife's decision to pursue her career as a bank manager.
Devendra Fadnavis completed his Law graduation from Nagpur University. Besides having a law degree, Fadnavis also has a business management degree and a project management diploma from the German Foundation for International Development, Berlin.

Devendra Fadnavis started his political career by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Fadnavis won his first municipal election from Ram Nagar ward in Nagpur and five years later became the youngest mayor of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. He even went on to create history by becoming the second youngest mayor in the history of India.
From 1999 to 2014, Devendra Fadnavis served as the Vidhan Sabha representative of Nagpur in the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra. He was elected as an MLA for four consecutive terms.
Post his win in 2014, Fadnavis was made the legislative party leader by the BJP MLAs and as BJP emerged as the biggest party in the 2014 Vidhan Sabha elections, he was appointed as the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra on October 31, 2014. He became the second-youngest chief minister of the state at the age of 44.

While Devendra Fadnavis was the second youngest chief minister of Maharashtra, his wife Amruta Fadnavis had become the youngest first lady of the state. Their daughter Divija was the youngest-ever occupant of the Chief Minister's official bungalow 'Varsha' which is located in South Mumbai.
Did you know that Devendra Fadnavis was also a model? Yes, you heard us right. Back in 2006, Devendra Fadnavis had modelled for a garment shop in his hometown Nagpur and the ad campaign was a huge success. He pursued modelling on the request of his childhood friend and photographer Vivek Ranade.
Devendra and Amruta Fadnavis often attend political and social events together. In 2018, the couple featured together in a music video, titled, 'Mumbai River Anthem'

Devendra Fadnavis was awarded the Best Parliamentarian Award by Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in 2002-03. He received the prestigious Nag Bhushan award for his outstanding work for the cause of Vidarbha in 2016.
Devendra Fadnavis is also an author and poet. Fadnavis has written three books and his book 'How To Understand and Read the State Budget' indicates his intellect and political acumen that he possesses as a politician and strong visionary.
