Industrialist Mukesh Ambani is a staunch businessman, socialite, activist, and philanthropist. The Reliance chairman was born to Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani on April 19, 1957. The Indian billionaire has been married to Nita Ambani, daughter of Ravindrabhai Dalal and Purnima Dalal.
Both Mukesh and Nita Ambani lead a happy family life and head a flourishing business. The couple has been married for over 35 years. Mukesh shares a unique and inseparable bond with his wife Nita Ambani and their mushy pictures are proof enough.
While Mukesh Ambani was born into a business family, his wife Nita Ambani, then Nita Dalal was born into a middle-class household in Santacruz, Mumbai. The power couple from Mumbai tied the knot on March 8, 1985. The couple had a traditional Gujarati wedding which took place in the presence of family and friends. At the time of tying the knot, Nita just 22, while Mukesh was 28.

Mukesh and Nita Nita Ambani's love story is no less than a fairytale affair. It is believed that Mukesh's mother Kokilaben Ambani spotted Nita Dalal, a professional Bharatnatyam dancer at a dance recital at Birla Matoshree Hall in October 1984. A few days later, Dhirubhai called Nita, who cut the call and thought someone was fooling with her. In an interview, Nita said that when Dhirubhai Ambani called her again, she told him, "If you're Dhirubhai Ambani, I am Elizabeth Taylor," and cut the call once again.
Finally, Nita Ambani met Dhirubhai Ambani at his office where he asked her if she would like to meet his elder son, Mukesh Ambani. A month later Nita met Mukesh and his entire family and there was no turning back for the Gujarati girl from the suburbs.
Did you know? Mukesh Ambani and Nita Dalal were in a courtship for about three weeks before they finally tied the knot on March 7, 1985. During one of the drives on Mumbai Peddar road, a young Mukesh Ambani stopped his car and popped the big question to Nita Dalal.
Interestingly, Mukesh had stopped the car in the middle of a road during peak Mumbai traffic. After asking Nita a third time, the Gujarati girl from Santacruz finally said 'Yes'! And as they say, rest is history. Post their wedding, Nita continued working as a teacher for a couple of years.
The couple, who have been married for over three decades have three children. While Isha and Akash are twins, Anant Ambani is the youngest of the three siblings. The three share a unique and inseparable bond and have never shied away from showing their sibling love for one another.
Nita Ambani has played a significant role in shaping the businessman and industrialist that Mukesh Ambani is today. The two are often snapped together at various public events and social gatherings.
