For me, it can be any space, which we perform at, but it should have a good audience. It can be Chennai, New York, Rae Bareli or Timbuktu. It is the audiences that make for a dream venue.

Prithvi remains my dream destination. We’ve been performing for 35 years, and will continue to do so till our group exists. The set-up, intimacy, lights, and other factors are unique. Till today, if the team learns of a cancellation, and dates are available, we perform even within two-three days’ notice.

The Globe Theatre in London is one place I would love to perform at, and we are performing there next month. I have performed there earlier too (Maro Piyu Gayo Rangoon). It’s a beautiful place that is steeped in history and has a wonderful audience too.

We have built a 120-seater theatre at our farm in Vangani, and we rehearse there too. I would love to bring an audience and perform there. It’s an outdoor space, and beautiful. We call it The Kitchen Garden Theatre.
