Q. What took you so long to come to India?
A. I’ve been waiting for the India tour to materialise for long. Finally, I am glad that Sunburn and my fans finally managed to have me over; I am going to make the most of it.

Q. Now that you will be here, what are you looking forward to on your India visit, apart from playing to several thousands of fans?
A. In my tight schedule, I hope to check out local clubs and interact with DJs; I would like to meet Trilok Gurtu. I’d like to ride an elephant!

Q. It’s common knowledge now that your name is a result of your finding a dead rat in your computer. Why did you decide to put the Mau5head on? How does it aid your music and your brand?
A. The Mau5head is an extension that makes me exclusive. It’s my novelty factor, my USP, the reason for who I am today.
Q. You had commented that you don’t like the term Dance Music or EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Why?
A. EDM for me is simply a hyped up term for ‘Event Driven Marketing’. I believe that most people get into the genre because it’s minimal work for maximum profit.
Q. Which part of the world do you enjoy playing at and don’t feel like you are ‘working’?
A. I would love playing in any corner; it isn’t about the place but about what you do. Music is not work, it’s fun. You could say a lot of “hard” fun.
Q. Would you like to collaborate with any artistes?
A. There are so many good producers coming out of Toronto now, which makes the scene good. I am a diehard fan of Daler Mehndi and his track Tunak Tunak Tun.
