The Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024 are set to take place on November 20, with the counting of votes for all 288 constituencies scheduled for November 23. The assembly consists of 288 members, each elected directly from single-seat constituencies. This year, the elections are anticipated to be a contest primarily between the ruling Mahayuti Alliance, which includes the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, and NCP led by Ajit Pawar, and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, comprising the Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP led by Sharad Pawar, and the Congress.

Major parties include the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Shiv Sena (UBT) (Uddhav Thackeray faction), NCP (SP) (Sharad Pawar faction), Republican Party Of India (A) and others.

Votes are counted electronically using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and results are typically announced the same day. The Election Commission will specify the date for counting. The results will be declared on November 23.
